Current Goals for College:

“My attitude towards sport and school is highly goal-driven, I set consistent targets for myself which enable me to be successful by planning the appropriate steps to reaching those goals. In college, the academic goals I have set for myself are to successfully complete 4 years of study, ideally with high merits/distinctions.
In football, my primary goal is to grow as a player and teammate. I aim to develop my technical football ability and game awareness whilst building leadership and interpersonal skills in the team environment. Naturally, my competitive nature aims for success in every game, with the ultimate dream of winning national championships. Constantly setting these minor goals will establish the solid foundation of skills required to achieve larger successes”

Life Goals:

“Since the beginning of my football journey, my dream has been to play for the Matildas and represent my country internationally at the World Cup. I would also love to play professionally in Europe and travel the world whilst playing the game I love. However, these goals are set not just for my own contentment, but to hopefully impact the lives of future generations of young female footballers by inspiring them to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams.
However, my interests and passions stretch beyond football. After completing my degree in college, I aim to find a career which I am truly passionate about. This will lead me to be an effective member of society and contribute my personal strengths in a field that provides me with challenge but also fulfillment. Additionally, I would love to experience different cultures and expand my intercultural understanding”

Why do you want to compete in College Soccer?

“For me, college is the whole package. It enables me to balance my studies and obtain my degree whilst training and competing in an elite football environment. The US is one of the most prominent nations in women’s football, with the high standard of competition possessed by the national team becoming increasingly reflected in the college system. The competitive environment of college will push me to strive for greatness and help me become a stronger, more consistent, and resilient athlete.
The family-like community and team pride which is evident in college teams has also encouraged me to pursue this pathway. Team sports such as football require dedication and persistence from all players to thrive and achieve success, and I believe that good friends make good teammates. This “win as a team, lose as a team” culture appeals to me as it carries similar values to myself, and will therefore provide me with the best opportunity to grow as both a player and a person”

What makes you different?

“What makes me different is my staying power, commitment, resilience, and role model attitude. I have been dedicated to goalkeeping since donning my first pair of gloves at 8 years of age. The years of knowledge and game intelligence is what makes me different from other goalkeepers and is one of my greatest strengths. I possess a highly developed understanding of technique, positioning, and most importantly decision-making which enables me to perform with confidence during every game. My passion for goalkeeping has always overpowered any challenges and setbacks I have faced throughout my football journey, building my resilience, and furthering my motivation to improve and succeed.
I am a true all-rounder, being athletic, academic, and creative. To be successful, I have learned to develop good time-management skills, to manage a heavy extra-curricular workload throughout high school. I have managed to do this whilst maintaining my grades and sports performance levels. I aim to be a good role model in sports and life. I plan to continue to be a strong role model at college – always aiming for my best and hopefully showing others how to fight for success”
